Job Description

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking a creative and detail-oriented student to serve as the Donna and David Bailey Creative Content Intern. This internship provides an opportunity to shape one of UNC Asheville’s newest campus storytelling initiatives, the Donna and David Bailey Wall of Excellence.

The Wall of Excellence celebrates the individuals, achievements, and experiences that inspire Bulldog pride and reflect UNC Asheville’s mission of preparing thoughtful leaders and engaged citizens. Located in the Highsmith Student Union, the digital display serves as a highly visible showcase of student success, alumni accomplishments, donor impact, faculty and staff excellence, campus traditions, and opportunities that define the UNC Asheville experience.

The intern will research, develop, and curate engaging content that highlights the people and stories that make UNC Asheville exceptional.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong graphic design skills,
Experience with storytelling, journalism, marketing, public relations, social media, or content creation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Interest in highlighting student experiences and university achievements.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, or digital media.

Technical Skills

Brainstorming, Digital Printing and Design, Editing, Illustrating, Infographics, Interviewing, Photo Editing, Typography: spacing, line height, layout, choosing fonts

Soft Skills

Attention to Detail, Build Partnerships, Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation, Independence
