The General Manager serves as a vital member of the Esports Center staff within Campus Recreation, contributing to the effective organization and daily management of the Center. This role emphasizes maintaining an orderly and inviting environment within the Esports Center, which features PCs, gaming consoles such as Switches and PlayStations, and racing rigs, for the benefit of students and visitors. The General Manager is expected to recognize and execute duties including the operation of gaming equipment, oversight of cable organization and peripheral arrangements, provision of password and login assistance, performance of basic troubleshooting, execution of cleaning and maintenance tasks, delivery of courteous customer service, administration of user accounts and ticketing systems, moderation of the Discord community, and swiping in customers to monitor attendance. Through these efforts, the General Manager ensures the Center remains a well-maintained, functional, and community-oriented space during operational hours. |
