The General Manager (Content) serves as a specialized member of the Esports Center staff within Campus Recreation, focusing on planning and producing content for the Esports Program. This role centers on creating detailed content revolving around Esports Teams, highlighting individual players and their achievements, showcasing staff contributions, covering general Esports Center events or objects, and addressing any other content opportunities that arise. The General Manager (Content) is expected to recognize and perform duties such as operating gaming equipment, overseeing cable organization and peripheral setups, providing password and login assistance, conducting basic maintenance tasks, delivering courteous customer service, managing user accounts and ticketing systems, moderating the Discord community, swiping in customers to monitor attendance, and organizing, posting, and managing content across platforms like Discord, Instagram, and other social media. This position works closely with the General Manager (Visual Design) to adhere to established timelines, ensuring content is delivered promptly and aligns with visual branding. The role does not involve producing designs or aspects of technical marketing, focusing instead on content strategy, posting, and community management. |
