The Public Address announcer is the primary source of information for fans. The Public Address announcer will be responsible for clearly communicating ad reads, team rosters, provide score updates, and more to fans on game day. This position is crucial in creating an engaging and exciting game day atmosphere. This position will require attention to detail, clear public speaking skill, teamwork skill, and baseline knowledge of the sport being represented. Public Address is needed for volleyball and soccer in the fall with baseball in the spring. A script for this position will be supplied for every game. Assistance and guidence will be provided on game day by the Game Day Director. This position will require a video audition and live audition. Public Address announcers are expected to maintain a professional and emotionally neutral tone of voice. As this is a role with a public facing focus, we need to ensure that the individuals are able to do so with the appropriate skills. |
