The Social Media Intern is a critical position in our department, creating unique content for our Instagram site. Our presence on social media acts as a primary vehicle for connecting with prospective students and their families, supporting admissions goals. Content created offers a comprehensive view of academic and extracurricular programming in the Department of Art and Art History. While this information is invaluable to prospective students, it also is vital for nurturing connections and a sense of belonging and community with our current students and alumni. Specifically, this position will provide the student with experience in the following NACE competencies: - Critical Thinking/Problem Solving - Oral/Written Communications - Teamwork/Collaboration - Digital Technology - Professionalism/Work Ethic - Career Management The Social Media Intern position also allows the Dept to promote and share information with current students and faculty prospective students and donors to UNCA. It is a way to share and circulate information to a wider audience and allows the Dept to operate on a contemporary and next level playing field to maintain and increase student retention and enrollment and provides competitive edge among local and regional art and art history university/college programs. The Social Media Intern also coordinates posts with the departmental concentration rotation and monitors the page and any correspondences and liaises with the Dept. faculty and staff. |
