Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders are students who attend all classes alongside students and facilitate weekly out-of-class group study sessions. SI Leaders are trained to plan group study activities that utilize collaborative learning strategies to help students understand the material better, build connections with their peers, and learn successful study strategies. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to hire SI Leaders for Precalculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II in Spring 2025. Responsibilities: Attend a half-day training session right before the start of the semester. Attend all classes, take notes, and engage with students during in-class activities Plan study group activities to help students better understand content and develop positive learning habits. SI Leaders often work together to plan activities. Conduct 1-2 hours of SI sessions per week Conduct exam review sessions Model outstanding student behavior Work 5-7 hours per week at $15/hr
