PLEASE READ THIS JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DETAILS APPLY HERE BY AUGUST 15, 2025 The Bill and Alice Hart Internship provides experience working with Southern Appalachian archival collections in UNC Asheville’s Special Collections. Under the supervision of Special Collections staff, interns contribute to Special Collections programs and gain valuable work experience in archival practice, working directly with an experienced Appalachian archivist and historian. This internship will help students build a solid resume towards future opportunities in the archival, library, and history fields. Organize, select, and process (sorting, boxing, labeling) materials related to collections that support the mission of Special Collections Utilize archival materials to plan and/or prepare a display and/or exhibit Create finding aids for the physical assortment of collections Create a post on the Special Collections blog outlining their work during their internship
