Job Details

The Office of Accessibility is seeking student note takers in specific student classes. The provided notes would be made available to a student with a disability with approved accommodations. The note taker must attend class on a consistent basis and take clear, detailed notes. There is a necessity to upload notes frequently to ensure timely access for the student with accommodations.  

Student employees will be paid for the time to upload/submit the notes, not for the time taking notes in class.

Student note takers should:

• Attend class on a regular basis.

• Take clear, organized, and comprehensive notes.

• Maintain confidentiality. Note-takers should never disclose that they are a note-taker for a specific student.

• Type notes or handwrite legible notes in dark ink and write on only one side of each page of notes.

• Write down all related information from the course (including any changes to assignment due dates or class times).

• Speak with the course instructor to ensure accuracy of notes, as necessary.

• Upload notes to Bulldog Access within 24 hours of the class meeting (within 5 hours for summer coursework).

Communicate with the Office of Accessibility and promptly respond to staff emails. Contact staff immediately if a problem arises.
