Job Description |
The Dept. of Art & Art History is looking for a dependable, reliable, friendly student worker to support the Administrative Assistant with the following tasks and projects throughout the academic year: Design, print, hang, and distribute posters and flyers in Owen Hall and across campus. Create and craft posters and flyers in a digital format to be emailed to campus and community contacts. Format, print, and organize labels for gallery exhibitions, art installations, name tags, and mailings. Create and organize documents including departmental information (mailing lists, contact lists, room schedules). Print, copy, scan, organize, file, and shred documents. Track and manage inventories of office supplies and paper, and organize filing cabinets. Check and distribute mail and deliveries to faculty. Run campus errands on behalf of Dept. as requested.
Provide support in the preproduction and set up Dept. events on site in Owen Hall, such as the Owen Hall Birthday Party, Scholarship Ceremony & Sonder Family Reunion, Student Art & Ceramics Sale, and Open Houses. Assist Dept. faculty, staff, students, and volunteers with other projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications |

Preferred Qualifications |
Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop desired. Familiarity with Zoom and Google Meet desired. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and possess and display strong communication skills. Ability to complete projects independently; there will be supervision, but not at all times. Willingness to work as a team with members of faculty and staff, volunteers, student employees, and the campus community. Approachability, accountability, time management, and an efficient work ethic are a must. Office Assistant will be expected to treat their campus employment as they would a post-graduation position. Student in this position will serve as a proud representative of the Dept. of Art & Art History in the campus community.
