Campus Life Purpose: Campus Life cultivates transformative student experiences by fostering involvement, building community, and curating welcoming spaces that support student success and belonging. Through engaging programs, signature student experiences, memorable campus traditions, and dynamic facilities, we empower students to thrive during their UNC Asheville experience and their journey beyond. Student Involvement Ambassadors play a vital peer educator and connector role on campus. Involvement Ambassadors are dedicated students who are empowered to spearhead involvement initiatives across campus. Through ongoing collaboration and commitment to student success, the Involvement Ambassadors will focus on supporting involvement opportunities, signature student experiences, and community development. A. Involvement Ambassador Responsibilities - Serve as a peer mentor/resource to students seeking involvement opportunities.
- Facilitate one-on-one or small group involvement consultations.
- Promote upcoming events and student organizations through tabling, flyering, class visits, and social media.
- Assist students in navigating the student organization directory.
- Assist with planning and execution of involvement fairs, welcome week events, and ambassador-led programs.
- Host involvement pop-up booths, mixers, or campus tours focused on co-curricular engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to create student-centered campaigns that encourage involvement.
- Curate and share involvement-related content on department social media channels or newsletters.
- Help maintain bulletin boards, digital signage, or campus engagement platforms (e.g., Rocky Connect).
- Lead or co-lead presentations on getting involved; conduct involvement workshops during orientations, residence hall programs, or first-year seminars.
- Participate in ambassador training sessions to continually enhance peer education skills.
- Represent Campus Life at campus events, orientations, tabling fairs, and involvement opportunities.
- Collect and share feedback from students on barriers to involvement.
- Track peer interactions and outreach efforts for semesterly reporting.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with other Campus Life programs and events, as needed.
