Job Description

Assist in the organization and preparation of K-12 weather- and climate-related outreach activities
{supervisor; Prof. Miller). The expectation is not that the outreach assistant will be present at every
event, rather, that you will be responsible for raising a team of Atmospheric Sciences student volunteers who will accept the responsibility of designing the outreach activities. You will serve as the liaison to the K-12 teacher to
help the volunteer group meet the outreach event needs as described by the teacher. You will need to
coordinate with officers of the student chapter of the American Meteorological Society at UNC Asheville
to advertise upcoming outreach opportunities to our ATMS student family.

Maximum of 23 hours distributed over the academic year
