This position is open to Federal Work Study eligible students.
The student in this position will be supervised in person by the administrative assistant, as well as the department Chair on a weekly basis. The student will be partly responsible for set up and take down of in-person events. The student will attend one Career Center event. The student will support Open House & Tours days (i.e., admitted student days, discovery days, junior preview day). This requires tabling and interacting with prospective & admitted students and families. The student will schedule or host weekly study time for all Africana Studies students in support of classmates and academic excellence in the program. The student may be asked to assist with event logistics, and will be asked to support department-wide projects such as video, web, social media, and department marketing.
