Highsmith Student Union Purpose: The Highsmith Student Union creates memorable experiences for all students, guests and alumni at UNC Asheville. We strive to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the UNC Asheville community. In support of the university’s educational mission, we serve as a cornerstone for student growth, learning and involvement through the highest quality service and facilities. A. Production Student Assistant Responsibilities Room setups (tables, chairs, pipe + drape, basic AV) Updating room cards Light housekeeping, wipe down tables Lock/unlock room Clean rooms before and after events Safe and clean environment, secure cables, reduce trip hazards Maintain and complete usage logs/reports Report maintenance and housekeeping issues to student manager Knowledgeable of Highsmith and University policies and procedures
B. Position Requirements Cumulative 2.5 GPA Time and task management skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Critical thinking and problem solving skills Demonstrates initiative Ability to work in a team environment General knowledge of Highsmith Student Union and UNC Asheville
